A little about me…
My greatest passion in life has always been creating stories, whether that’s through visual art or written word. Or, as seven-year-old Tara would attest, developing epic multi-hour sagas acted out by Barbie dolls and Polly Pockets. (Seven-year-old Tara would probably also want you to know that the first book she wrote and illustrated was Coco the Monkey’s Birthday - a far cry from romantasy.)
I received my bachelor’s degree from Stetson University in 2015, where I majored in art and minored in art history. During my senior year, I received Stetson’s Ann Morris Essay and Creative Writing Contest Award for my essay on the Swedish film adaptation of The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. After college, the immediate need for a paying job (“Pick a job, any job!”) had me taking a major departure from creative pursuits. I spent eight years working in banking and SSDI advocacy, during which time I did some very rewarding work. But when my daughter was born in 2024, I had the opportunity to stay home with her (the best job of my life!) while also finding my way back to reading, writing, and all things creative.
Enchantment of Silver and Sea is my debut novel, but I have many more books in various stages of plotting, planning, and writing that I cannot wait to share! I am incredibly grateful to anyone who takes the time to read my stories.
